“Religion is the vision … of something which is real, and yet waiting to be realized …”In Gates of Prayer, Chaim Stern, ed. (New York: Central Conference of American Rabbis, 1975), 14.
My mom, after a stay in the hospital, is in a transitional care facility. The facility is a Jewish facility (but accepts all people). I was at dinner with mom tonight and a rabbi came with a “welcome” Shabbat Shalom and prayer. It is the first time I’ve been part of it. In fact, to be honest, your Friday posts were the first I had heard of it. It was a wonderful prayer.
