I may be an atheist but I love these hopeful expressions of a glad future from so many divergent voices. If there is a God, I truly hope he is a God of deliverance.

Thought of you, when reading something recently (Job and the Excess of Evil, Philippe Nemo, trans. Michael Kigel, Duquesne UP, 1998):
“Faith in God, in effect, is rationally equivalent to a certainty in the ultimate triumph of the Good” (200).
I confess, I, myself, am just not willing to give up on that.
