The headline: “California ministry forced homeless to work, stole their benefits, officials say.”

The story continues: “Church leaders arrested Tuesday are accused of holding homeless people in locked group homes and forcing them to panhandle up to nine hours a day.”

That is not ministry.

After those alleged ministers are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for enslavement, theft, abuse, and all their other crimes, I hope they will also be prosecuted by someone for lying and for impersonating ministers.

I don’t know why this report, of all the terrible reports of terrible things that happen all around the world daily hit me so hard. It just did.
