tree in a desert landscape

Fifth Sunday in Lent

tree in a desert landscape
Out of the depths I cry to you, O HOLY ONE.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!
If you, O HOLY ONE, should mark iniquities,
Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you,
so that you may be revered.
I wait for the HOLY ONE, my soul waits,
and in God’s word I hope:
my soul waits for the HOLY ONE
more than those who watch for the morning,
more than those who watch for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the HOLY ONE!
For with the HOLY ONE there is steadfast love,
and with God is great power to redeem.
It is God who will redeem Israel
from all its iniquities.

Psalm 130 (modified NRSV)

The Corydon Presbyterian Church will be on Facebook Live again this morning at 10:00 a.m. – all are welcome. The tech quality seems to be tolerable so far – for something that is not, after all, entertainment but rather “the work of the people.”
