Although … I would check out John Goldingay’s Ezra, Nehemiah & Esther for Everyone – if it’s like his volume on Kings, which was superlative, and which I imagine it is, it’s a commentary, but organized in chapters in a way that would work for a class, and will include personal, deeply engaging theological reflection. A great conversation partner.
