Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)

Call to Worship [Based on Mark 4:26-34]

Seeds are gathered
before they are scattered and sown;
Seeds are planted
before they take root and grow.
Where do we find the seeds
of the kingdom of God?
In a word of thanks?
In a shout of praise?
In an act of service
or sharing?
In the silence
of our own hearts?
Come, let us look
and listen
and live into
what is coming into being.
Let us worship God!

He also said, “The kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground,
and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how.
