A Call to Worship (based on Luke 4:1-13)
Just as the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the waters of the Jordan, and then into the wilderness, and then into the synagogues and streets of Judea, and finally to the cross, and the new life of resurrection …
Just like that, the Holy Spirit calls us and leads us to worship God wherever we are, together, bringing our prayer and attention and openness to the God who made us, who provides for us, who loves us, and who constantly offers us more life.
Let us worship God!
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness …
