Third Sunday of Easter (C)

Call to Worship

[based on Revelation 5:11-14, John 21:1-19]

We arrive, work-weary, disillusioned, seeking escape.
The limits of our sight are the figures before us, things as they appear.
We come, hearing a call from beyond those limits;
Revealing something beyond the surface,
Echoing the music of angelic choirs, the praises of heaven and all creation,
Stirring our hearts to cry out –
“It is the Lord!”
Alleluia! Let us worship God!

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing, “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

Revelation 5:13
