Call to Worship based on Isaiah 35:1-10
The Spirit calls us to rejoice
in the coming of God’s kingdom of justice and peace,
in the expectation of God’s will being done
on earth as it is in heaven,
in the promise of all things being renewed,
restored, and transformed.
The Spirit gathers us to praise
the God of new beginnings and ultimate fulfillments;
the God of creation and new creation.
Let us come before God with rejoicing and praise!
Let us worship God!
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;
Isaiah 35:1-2
the desert shall rejoice and blossom;
like the crocus it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and shouting.
