An illuminating definition of “oppression”

This summary of Iris Marion Young’s “Five Faces of Oppression” explained a lot, for me, about some things I notice these days: how many oppressed people there are, and how conversations about oppressed people seem to bog down in cross purposes across various lines of difference.

Updating my translation dictionary accordingly, if not necessarily my daily lexicon.
