A Call to Worship based on Acts 1:6-14
Welcome! Enter, come in,
Come to be here
in this space …
in the silence of meditation;
in the exuberance of praise and the delight of song;
in the echoing meaning of the Word,
in answering affirmations
and the gifts and the Great Thanksgiving,
the sacrifices that look like prayers and banquets
and feel like blessings and privileges
welcome in here, here at this end of the earth,
welcome to be, together, worshippers, witnesses …
Hallelujah! Let us worship God!
[Jesus] replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
